テロ警戒中

あまり大きなニュースにはなっていないようですが、今エジプトでは地下鉄テロの予告を受けて、そこそこの警戒態勢にあります。アルカーイダのビデオメッセージにエジプトの地下鉄と空港を狙うというのがあったという話も聞いているのですが、僕が確認できたのはこちらの方。

Egypt's subway on high security alert after hoax bomb threat

CAIRO, Egypt: Cairo's busy subway system has been on high alert since a hoax bomb threat was made at a station several days ago, police said Saturday.

Metal detectors and bomb sniffing dogs were deployed at all exits and entrances to the busy underground transportation network as a precaution, a police official said, speaking on customary condition of anonymity.

Vehicles and heavy trucks also were prevented from parking near subway stations around Cairo and its twin city, Giza, out of fear that they might contain explosives, according to the daily Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper.

The high alert came after an Egyptian man warned police about a bomb allegedly placed at a station north of Cairo's downtown on Wednesday. The warning though turned out to be a hoax, the official said.

今日大学に行くのに地下鉄に乗ったのですが、実際まだ鞄チェックなどをやったり、車両に一人警察が乗っていたりしているのですが、僕の目から見ると明らかにチェックが緩いです（笑）まあ正直そんなに笑えないのですが。
知人の言によるとエジプトの秘密警察はある程度優秀なので、これだけ動いたということはなんらかの裏付け情報があった可能性がある、とのことです。ただ警戒が始まったのがこの記事の日付の14日よりはちょっと後だと思うので、上記情報とは別口でなにかあったのかもしれません。
